Charity Auction:

At 'Friends of the Animals', we are frequently faced with animals in desperate need of emergency veterinary care; animals that have many times been dismissed by other charities.  This week, amongst others, our Midlands branch got a dog with broken legs the medical care it needed, and is now on the road to recovery... but our veterinary bills (which have well passed 3/4 of a million pounds) are our biggest outgoing, and we need YOUR help!

'Friends of the Animals' are holding a Charity auction on Thursday 23rd October to raise much-needed funds.  You are welcome to come!

Address:  Ponda Rosa Inn, Ashey Road, Ryde, PO33 4BB [ map ]

Tickets:  £5.00 including buffet.

Viewing / Buffet at 6:30 pm
Auction Begins at 7:30 pm

Please contact us (Isle of Wight branch) to order tickets, or if you would like more information.

We hope to see you there!

We're Hopping Mad...

Did you know, we have re-homed over 5,500 animals?

This is something we're extremely proud of... but it does make us very sad that these animals should end up homeless in the first place.  The reasons for this differ greatly but there are far too many people who simply get bored of their pets and move on to something else.  Getting a pet, no matter what the size, is a decision that cannot be taken lightly, and we are appalled at the number of homeless animals suffering for this reason.

Rabbits are amongst the top in this list, often bought for a child who has lost interest, and now they sit in a dirty hutch at the bottom of the garden... forgotten.  We currently have many rabbits in the Isle of Wight in foster care absolutely desperate for a loving permanent home.

Do YOU think you could share your life with one of these wonderful animals?

This is "Desmond" (pictured with Kirsty), just one of our many rabbits looking for a new home...

Please see our Isle of Wight Re-homing Page for more information about "Desmond", and other rabbits in need of homes.
