The Charity is one of the earliest members of the FUND RAISING STANDARDS BOARD
GIFT AID & HOW GOOD IT IS FOR THE ANIMALS.
GIFT AID is a government scheme that allows Charities like ourselves to claim back from the Inland Revenue the tax that you (as tax payers) will have paid on your salary / wages etc. This does not effect you in any way and in fact all you have to do is sign a one off form and send it to us.
The effect is FANTASTIC. On the 30th December, we received a cheque - from the government - for more than £4,600-00p; that is an increase of around 50% on last year JUST BECAUSE MORE PEOPLE WHO DONATED COMPLETED A Gift Aid Form. Every penny raised like this is another way to help the animals and the wonderful thing is that a) it does not cost YOU - the supporter anything and b) the animals actually get help from H.M. Revenue and Customs. How cool is THAT ?
