HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED.

EVERY year Peter and Geraldine Furmage decorate their house and donate the money raised from well wishers to the Charity and the animals we help. As you can see, they go to a LOT of trouble and achieve a great deal. We are VERY grateful indeed.

Anne and Alan Barker are a couple of "good eggs". Although unwilling to pose for the picture, on this occasion they have been caught helping out at the CHALE show. They also do voluntary driving, odd jobs and generally help the Charity and the animals.

Daphne Adams has her own way of helping the animals. She knits the most wonderful blankets for our many rescues and we (and they) are MOST grateful.

JOHN, (on the right) really makes a difference to the Charity and our aim to help more and more animals. He fund raises, (at our many collections) helps out in the Bearwood office and does what he can when he can. PLEASE come and join him and the Bearwood team.

DAVE, (left) is one of our many voluntary drivers. He kindly takes animals to the vets, picks up donations of food, bric a brac etc and helps transport volunteers to fund raising events.

     Don't forget we pay a mileage allowance.

DO YOU LIVE IN PORTSMOUTH?

Our Portsmouth shop in North End is DESPERATE for some help manning the shop. We are open six days a week and would be pleased to have your help even if it can only be for a few hours once a week. Ever little helps. In the first instance please call HELEN on 01983-522-511 for a chat.

CAN YOU SELL RAFFLE TICKETS?

This branch of the Charity can always use admin help in its office as well as fund raising and fostering assistance. Please call Lacie on 01983-522-511 if you can help.

TWIGGY FUND

You can send in a donation and message in memory of or in appreciation of a much loved pet. Messages will be included in the Charity's next newsletter and every penny of your donation will help an animal in need.

Our latest Gift Aid cheque from the tax man came to over £4,600-00p up around 50% on last years' figure. That means more help for the animals thanks to the government and YOU. Thank you.

Making a Will may be one of the most important things you will ever do, and it could literally save your animal's life. It is a sad fact that every year, thousands of perfectly healthy animals are put to sleep, simply because they outlive their owner and no proper provision has been made for them.

Friends of the Animals uses Foster Homes, has a policy of non-destruction, and will ensure that your pets are cared for until the end of their natural lives. Each is guaranteed a responsible home, where they will be a loved and wanted pet. All animals will be regularly checked upon.

Even if you do not have a pet, PLEASE remember Friends of the Animals in your will. Legacies really HAVE make the difference to so many animals already; Yours could enable us to help even more, and we will happily tailor any gift to suit your wishes.

We WILL make the best of YOUR will.

Visitor's to our web site will know that we AVIDLY collect old, out of date and foreign currency and our last collection of coins (and notes) raised a wonderful £1,006-95p. 

PLEASE, PLEASE go through your cupboards, wallets, purses and drawers and if you have ANY old, out of date or foreign currency of ANY type that you no longer want, please let us know. It can either be dropped off to one of our branches or we may even be able to pick it up. It really can make a difference.

AND, if you're going away on holiday and come back with a few coins or notes that you cannot convert, we'd be delighted to have them too.
