A SPECIAL THANKS

(September 2010)

Joyce had "Ben" the Yorkie from the Charity, and now she has VERY kindly donated her dear departed husband's car to our Isle of Wight Branch.

We are delighted, and very VERY grateful to her for deciding to donate the car to the Charity. We will use it to take animals (and their owners) to the vets and to assist with the Charity's general activities on the Isle of Wight. Thank You Joyce. Your gift will make a BIG difference.

THE SANDWELL SHOW

(August 2010)

The Bearwood team really put a lot of effort into the show on Bank Holiday Monday. Setting up a tombola, offering discounted spays and neuters and publicising the work of the Charity.

Despite a lot of "competition" the team raised well over £200-00 and the weather stayed fine - which should (at least) put a smile on the Teddy Bears' face!

The Charity took part in the Annual party in WARLEY WOODS last Sunday. We were surprised to discover from some of the visitors to the stand that they thought we were closing down .......... I THINK NOT !!! Now in our 21st year the Charity is going from strength to strength.

Thanks to everyone who came along and gave us their support.

The Tax Man (or woman) worketh overnight and dealt with our GIFT AID claim for last year in extra fast time. The result, a wonderful cheque for the animals totalling £2,456-13p. Thanks to everyone who has completed a gift Aid Form. If you pay tax and have made a donation to the Charity PLEASE complete a Gift Aid Form by clicking here and send it to our Treasurer at Bearwood.

GIFT AID, GIFT AID, GIFT AID.

It is a fact of life that the Tax man taketh and he taketh and he taketh. Very rarely does he (or she) EVER return anything - least of all FREE. But GIFT AID is one of those rarities. If YOU are working and have made a donation to the Charity of ANY size in the last FIVE years, Please down load a GIFT AID form by clicking here and posting in the completed form to the Charity at 408 Bearwood Rd, Bearwood, B66 4EX.

The Charity's Treasurer can then claim back the tax you will have already paid on your donation - effectively increasing it by around 20% AT NO COST TO YOU. Please help us to help more animals - by asking the Tax Man to pay for it!

ONGOING 2010.

The Charity is very pleased to report that it has committed itself to totally fund the feed and veterinary treatment of the Farm Animal Sanctuary at Woolverton (nr Stratford on Avon). The Sanctuary is already being supported by Friends of the Animals with a full time employee but we are now going to help the (almost) 500 animals that live there even more. We will keep you informed of our (and the animals) progress).
