Whist jumping (unseen) out of a car, with her lead on, Amber was caught when the door closed behind her and the car moved off. She was dragged over a hundred yards before it was realised what had happened. Her legs were badly damaged and she lost a lot of fur and skin.
Taken to the local vets, Amber was treated very carefully as there was a lot of debris in her wounds and she was in a poor way. She survived her ordeal and her owners were, thereafter, a lot more careful about where their pets were before starting the car. Much of the care was paid for by Friends of the Animals.
